In a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, parents discuss behavior challenges and learn effective, research-based methods of communication and discipline. Parents will learn to use positive reinforcement to successfully change behavior while improving their relationship with their child. Parents can expect to see the following outcomes in their children.

Dear Parents,
Welcome to the start of a new school year and another year of A-plus bonus bucks. Starting October 9,2009 through March 25,2010 North Windham School will have the opportunity to earn cash through Stop&Shop A plus Bonus Bucks program.
All you have to do is:
Log onto www.stopandshop.com/aplus to register online
OR
Dial 1-877-275-2758 to register your card over the phone.
After you register your card, each shopping trip at Stop&Shop using your S&S card earns CASH for our school!! Each month, the amount of CASH awarded will be updated on the Stop&Shop website. You can track the amount of points you earn for our school by checking your grocery receipt and online when you create an account at stopandshop.com. Our school will recieve a check at the end of the program. The money can be used for any of our school's educational needs.
Remember, even if you registed your card last year, you MUST re-register this year for our school to receive credit. Attending to this simple process makes a HUGE difference to our school. We need your support.
RE: PHOTOS
Some of you have sent in the forms requesting that your child's picture NOT be allowed on this site. Although we try our best to ensure that we follow your wishes, some pictures of children may slip past us, as we do know most of the children in our school we do not know all of them yet. If you see a picture of your child on this site and you have filled out the form saying you DO NOT want it on here, please email the web designer at j.welden@yahoo.com and it will promptly be removed. Please include any and all details so that we know where on the photo page the picture of your child is. (this will help us get it off easier and faster) Thank you your help and we are so sorry if a photo has made it past us and on to the site against your wishes. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do. This site is NOT updated by the school. The only way to take a picture down is to email the web designer.

Dear Parents,
keeping you informed is a top priorty at North Windham School. That's why we have adapted the ALERTNOW Notification Service which will allow us to send a telephone or e-mail message to you providing important information about school events or emergencies. We anticipate using ALERTNOW to notify / remind you about variuos events, parent conferences, open house, field trips, and more. In the event of an emergency at school, you will be informed immediately by phone.
What you need to know about receiving calls sent through ALERTNOW
- Caller ID will display the school's main number when general announcement is delivered.
- Caller ID will display 411 if the message is a dire emergency.
- ALERTNOW will leave amessage on any answering machine or voicemail
- If the ALERTNOW message stops playing, press any key 1-9 and the message will replay from the beginning.
The successful delivery of informationis dependent upon accurate contact information for each student, so please make certain that we have your most current phone numbers. If this information changes during the year, please let us know immediately.
